Hotel Groups
If you are a frequent traveler, then you may be aware that there are many different types of hotel groups available for you. These range from very basic budget accommodations to bed and breakfast rooms to large luxury as hotels. Here is an explanation of the different types of hotel groups and what you can expect out of each one. Budget Hotels: Budget hotels are the hotels that offer the very basic accommodations. Most of these rooms will be under $100 a night and will offer you small, yet clean and comfortable rooms with no added perks. In their budget hotel room, you'll most likely find two double beds or one clean size bed and a small bathroom. These hotels include chains such as Motel 6 and Red Roof Inn. Moderate Hotels: other types of hotel groups include moderate hotels. These hotels offer you more amenities than a budget hotel, but still fall in the moderate price range. Most of these hotels are between 100 and $150 per night. These are usually hotels that rate on a 2 1/2 to three stars and include hotels such as Ramada, La Quinta, and Holiday Inn. These rooms are moderately sized, yet comfortable, and often include two standard size beds or one king size bed, a bathroom and usually a small sitting area. Many of these hotels also offer a continental breakfast in or near popular restaurants.

Luxury hotels: Luxury hotels are among the most expensive of all hotel groups. These range in amenities and features and usually costs more than $150 a night. These offer a wide range of features and services including most of the time on-site dining, room service, decorated rooms, swimming pools, spa amenities and workout rooms. Some of these luxury hotels also offer other entertainment such as casinos, live entertainment and more. Vacation resorts usually fall under the luxury hotel groups.
Extended-Stay Hotels: Extended-stay hotels are other types of hotel groups that are quite popular. These hotels cater to people that need a temporary place to stay and that need to stay longer than at a regular hotel. For example, these might be people that need to have a place to stay for an extended business trip, people who are in between houses during moves, or those on an extended vacation. Extended-stay hotels are similar to small apartments and offer a small living area sleeping quarters and a kitchenette. Business hotels: Also included in hotel groups include business hotels. Room business hotels cater to the business traveler and often offer small and comfort rooms and accommodations. In a business hotel you are likely to find wireless Internet connection and conference centers. |
