Types Of Hotels
There are many different types of hotels in the world. They range from small homes with little more than a room for travelers to extravagant resorts with many rooms and even facilities for dining and swimming to hotels that include condos for living arrangements. There are several different types of hotels, and you are likely to find something that fits your travel needs and your budget almost anywhere you go in the world. However, you should be aware that not all types of hotels operate the same way that they do in the United States. You might find that some hotels do not have phones in every room, or that you have to share a restroom with other guests. And in some cases, you may be responsible for your own bedding. Types Of Hotels In America There are two basic types of hotels in America: the bed and breakfast, and everything else. Everything else is a hotel that you are used to. Contained units with their own bathrooms and bedrooms. You can also find condos and hotels that have suites of more than one room. There are some hotels that allow residents to live there, but they have many things in common that Americans expect from their hotels: a private bathroom, a phone in the room, sheets provided for the beds. A bed and breakfast is a little different. It offers a private room with sheets, and sometimes even a private bathroom. However, you may have to share, and sometimes you will not have your own phone in the room. But the nice touch is that a bed and breakfast usually comes with a full breakfast included, served with other guests around a common table.

Types Of Hotels In Other Countries
There are plenty of the kinds of hotels Americans are used to in other countries. However, one must usually go to an American chain to get all of the things they are used to. Many traditional hotels in other countries have shared bathrooms. In youth hostels, special hotels for young people, there is no privacy at all in the bedrooms. Belongings can be locked in lockers, and bedding is rarely provided. Most other hotels in foreign countries will provide bedding, but you should be aware that there will likely not be a phone in your room. Indeed, in many hotels there is only one phone for public use, and you have to wait your turn. |
